Arab League Says Israeli Crimes in Gaza Aim to Take Away Palestinians' Right to Live on Their Land

Cairo, April 21 (QNA) - The Arab League today stressed that the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip cannot be considered as being the result of mistakes nor as mere collateral damage caused by the military campaign, rather they are intentional crimes aimed at collective punishment and liquidating the Palestinians' basic right to live on their own land.
This came during a meeting held at the Arab League's General Secretariat headquarters, between Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian Territory Francesca Albanese, during which both sides discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression for more than six months now.
During the meeting, Aboul Gheit praised the work of the UN Special Rapporteur and her stances, considering them as a unique expression of global conscience amid the silence of many countries on the crimes committed by the occupation, crimes so bad that they qualify to being acts of genocide. (QNA)
